regent hotel
my first job after college. perhaps this was where i “fell in love” with hotel work. tough job, long hours, but those were actually some of the best parts of it.
s&m food court
can’t really remember how i got this job, but it sort of propelled me out & upwards, not by the job, but by network.
ace entertainment
the then largest and most exclusive snooker & entertainment center of klang. i opened it. i managed it from scratch.
coffee bean & tea leaf
that was the trend at that time and i got a job there as management trainee. i took it as a stepping stone to corporate hospitality.
domino’s pizza
domino’s gave me an offer i couldn’t say no to. and i never heard of such offer actually, gave me a good raise with condition i must get myself promoted in six months. really.
ace cleaning
yes you got that right. it’s the same ace from ace entertainment. one of the partner’s company running cleaning contracts for some of the major shopping complexes all over malaysia. i got in as executive and was promoted to manager soon after.
ybr management
tendered my resignation before getting this job. called up a friend if there was opportunity and this was my first step in property management. stepping into the unknown is something everyone should experience once at least.
resorts facilities sdn bhd
subsidiary of genting malaysia, they needed someone to manage the little apartments up on the hill. i fit the bill nicely. spent two years managing ria & kayangan apartments dealing with owners and genting directly.
genting malaysia bhd
i got picked up into food and beverages, because i had hospitality background, and for good reasons. i managed one of the largest food operations in the country, with yearly turnover of close to 100 million ringgit.
resorts world langkawi
they called it succession planning, i call it a double promotion. triple in fact. still under genting malaysia, i was made hotel manager of then known as awana porto malai.

stunning view of the sunset in langkawi on one of the must do’s. this beautiful panaromic view was taken onboard seasation, tropical charters’ famed catamaran taking up to 65 persons at any one time. more fondly known as a party booze cruise. also a chance to jump into the open sea (don’t worry, there’s a net to catch you at the back). but just in case, bring your passport, might just drift to thailand. no kidding.
